Foot Care - Ingrown Nails
Taking action in our day to day lives is important!
FOOT CARE

Today I wanted to tell you about something I personally think is kind of magical.
I was working on a pair of feet I had been working on for years, I knew the issues I help as much as I can.
One appointment there was this noticeable change in my work, things seemed easier the skin was more flexible and my client didn't have to cut their nails into triangles before the appointment (hehe) for pain reduction (pls don't do this)
I asked what changed - The only thing that changed was that my client started to dry the tops of their nails after a shower. It's something that I write in the "foot care cheat sheet" and recommend to folks who struggle with "ingrown" or "impacted" nails.
Of course the nails were trimmed by me a month previously but instead of the triangle method they tried something different.
The reason why I say this is important is because impacted nails don't start in 1 day. It's an accumulation of skin, debris, sock fluffs etc that build up over time and create an environment of pressure. My mentor always said "it didn't happen in one day, it's not going to be fixed in one day" which means daily actions is where you find true improvement that will improve your overall well being for a lifetime.
It is my job to be a service provider at the appointment but I also want people to have the tools to reduce pain and frustration between appointments and throughout their lives. If you are my client or not, I love helping 😀 - This is why I teach nail care to you.
So I'm leaving you with this little bit of information, and I hope you have a good week!
ps. It can be hard to reach your feet and if this is you - put your foot towel on the ground and use your other foot as the "hand" that dries/exfoliates the tops of your nails :) Since we're here, dry between your toes the soles etc. 😎
Thank you for listening talk to you next time
